Andrew joined MF Global in 2005 and spent over four years working within the European mining and construction team in London. He is now based in Sydney, specialising in resource and basic material stocks and commodities in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to MF Global, Andrew worked at Andersen. He is CFA-qualified and graduated with a first in Economics from King’s College London.
Dr. Frank Shostak has over 35 years of experience as a market economist, central bank analyst, and builder of large scale macro-econometric models. He provides analysis of stock, bond, currency, and commodity markets. Frank is highly regarded among the financial community for his economic framework, which places heavy emphasis on monetary data and its effects on various markets. He is one of the world leaders in the applied Austrian School of Economics. Frank holds a PhD, MA, and BA with honours from South African universities as well as a BA in Economics from Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is also an adjunct scholar at the Mises Institute in the U.S. He was a professor of economics at the Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg and the University of Pretoria. He has been an economist and market strategist for MF Global Australia (previously Ord Minnett) since 1986. During 1974 to 1980, he was head of the econometric department at the Standard Bank in Johannesburg South Africa. During 1981 to 1985, he was head of an economic consulting firm, Econometrix, in Johannesburg.
